Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

You will met our representative at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to the hotel in Arusha city for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Rongai Gate 2364m

Early in the morning after breakfast we will drive 3 to 4 hours from Arusha to the entrance gate (Rongai Gate) where cook will give you the lunch and distribute luggage to porters and start our trekking toward Simba Camp 2671 metres above sea level – 7km, 3 hour walk. It will be an amazing adventure of walking in the forest zone toward moorland for dinner and camping overnight.

Day 3: Walking from Simba Camp to Third Camp 3800m

An 11km trek, which will take us up to 6 hours walking over moorland towards Third Camp. On the way you will be able to see clearly Mawenzi and Kibo peaks but you will be going directly towards Kibo which is the is the highest peak of Kilimanjaro Mountain. After reaching the camp it will be a great time to rest and wait for dinner time and sleep.

Day 4: Walking from Third Camp to Kibo Hut 4720m

It will be a great experience walking on alpine desert and enjoying the view down the mountainside towards Kibo Hut which will be an 11Km 5 hour walk, after which we can have lunch and rest till 17:30. After dinner and a summit briefing, you will sleep till 23:30 for a cup of coffee and the start of the ascent to the summit.

Day 5: Summit Day

It will be a new and exciting experience to walk at midnight towards the summit (Uhuru Peak 5895m) walking about 5 to 6 hours up to the highest point of Africa (Kilimanjaro Mountain). After reaching the summit we will celebrate our achievement of reaching the roof of Africa and then descend to the base camp for a short break and have brunch/lunch, then descend to Horombo Hut 3720m, for the last night on the mountain, dinner and sleep.

Day 6: Last Day Walking on the Mountain

After an early breakfast and set up we trek towards Marangu Gate which will take us 6 hours walking 19km to the gate for lunch and celebration with the team singing, cheers with Kilimanjaro beer or soft drinks and drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Arusha.

WILDERNESS SAFARI TARANGIRE, NGORONGORO CRATER, SERENGETI NATIONAL NATIONAL PARKS

Day 7: Game viewing in Tarangire NP

After breakfast, drive toward Tarangire for a full day’s game drive. Tarangire National Park is known for the chance of seeing the largest herds of elephants in the same area and some of the most ancient trees in the world with their own amazing stories, the gigantic Baobab Trees! The Park is a wilderness experience in its own right! Here you will be able to observe a diversity of wildlife attracted by the Tarangire River that allows animals to play and lounge around. Groups of possibly hundreds of elephants can be watched searching the river bed with their tusks as they try to locate sources of much needed water. Meanwhile migrating grazers such as wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes and various antelopes gather around whatever water supply is available. After the game drive we will drive to Migombani Camp for dinner and bed.

Day 8: From Migombani Camp to Serengeti NP

After breakfast we pick up our lunch boxes and drive to Serengeti via the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater offering a good opportunity to see the beauty of the crater before proceeding to Serengeti. While on the way you will get opportunities to spot some animals before entering Serengeti National Park. After check-in you will have a half day game drive then drive to the public camp site for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 & 10: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti NP

Serengeti is Tanzania’s world famous national park and is home to Earth’s biggest herds of great mammals. The name Serengeti is derived from a Maasai word ‘Siringet’ to mean endless plains, and the short grass plains extending for kilometres all around afford you exceptional opportunities for witnessing and photographing game. Rock to Bush Adventures will facilitate your enjoyment of this highlight of your safari: you are in the total wilderness of Africa with game viewing around you creating a life-long memory. After all the exhilaration of  the great Serengeti we will drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Morning Game Drive in Serengeti NP

After breakfast  we will pack our luggage and leave the camp, then drive around central Serengeti for game viewing heading towards Nabi gate for lunch and check-out from Serengeti. We will then check-in at Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority for the last night in the wilderness at the rim of Ngorongoro Crater with dinner and overnight at Simba Camp.

Day 12: Game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater & Transfer to JRO

Early breakfast and drive to descend into Ngorongoro Crater for our last day game viewing in the crater where you will be amazed with the beauty of the crater and the number of different species in the same area, without forgetting many species of birds. After all we will drive back to Arusha town for a shower and the drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
